And So Shall It Be

And So Shall It Be

Job 22: 21 – 30 KJV

21 Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.

22 Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.

23 If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.

24 Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.

25 Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.

26 For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.

27 Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.

28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

29 When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.

30 He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.

Tonight we are studying from the book of Job where we see that righteous people sometimes suffer. Job was known as a good man, but the adversary (satan) pointed out an apparent problem in God’s moral oversight of the universe. Now think about this, if goodness is always rewarded, how would we know if it’s born from the love of God or just a desire for gain?

So God allowed the devil to bring suffering into Job’s life.

Job stood fast and didn’t curse God as the devil predicted, but he debated with his three friends.  They were convinced that Job  had done something wrong to cause his suffering. Job insisted that he had done nothing wrong and deserved a hearing from God.

God finally revealed His power and wisdom to Job, and Job humbly admitted his own limited understanding.

God rebuked Job’s three friends, and their guilt of assuming the worse about Job was far worse.

In the end God blessed Job with twice as much as he had before.

In tonight’s lesson we have some encouraging news!

The Lord says in verse 21 that if we will submit to God, we will have peace and things will go well for us!!! In other words And So Shall It Be!!!

And So shall what be? Whatever you say? Whatever you decree? Whatever you ask? Whatever you Need? And So shall it be!!!

Let’s look at verse 22:

The author who we believe to be Moses is saying that we are to listen to God’s instructions and store those instructions in our heart.

We have been hearing about listening and following the instructions for a while. That is a clear indicator that we have room for improvement in this area.

Hello somebody… is there anyone here tonight that can stand to follow God’s instructions a little better?

Let me raise my hand, as I must be the first partaker of His word.

Listen to His instructions and store them in your heart – And So Shall It Be.

The bible states in verse 23, that if you will return to God, you will be restored – which is an invitation to clean your life up.

Return to Him – and So Shall It Be.

Are there areas in your life that you need to clean up? Are there areas of your life that could stand some freshening up?

Have you become more interested in your economic status, and material possessions than God Himself?

The scripture says that if you will give up your lust for money and throw your precious gold into the river,
God will be your treasure. He will be your precious silver!

Give up the lust of money- and So Shall It Be.

He says in verse 26, then… somebody out to say then… you will take delight in the Almighty and look up to God.

He says that you will pray to him, and he will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows to him.

My God!!! What a word!!! Listen to that again… You will pray to him, and he will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows to him.

Shout with a voice of triumph!!! And So Shall It Be!!!

And this brings us to our key verse for this lesson:

In verse 28: and I want you to really meditate on this verse and learn this verse!!!

And the Bible says that – Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

In other words, You will succeed in whatever you choose to do, and light will shine on the road ahead of you

And So Shall It Be!!!

He even takes it a step further and says that If people are in trouble and you say, ‘Help them,’ God will save them.

If your family or your friends or someone you are acquainted with and people you may not even know, but you pray for them… and ask God to help them, the word says, Pastor didn’t say it, Apostle didn’t say it, Prophetess didn’t say it, but the word says that God will save them!!!

You ask God For It … And So Shall It Be!!!

Verse 30 drives it home for us because we learn that even sinners will be rescued; they will be rescued because your hands are pure.

Those who haven’t even accepted him yet can be rescued or saved from trouble as a result of your prayers because your hands are pure!!!

And So Shall It Be!!!

What an awesome God we serve!!! To love us so much that He says that when we:

  1. Submit to Him and follow His instructions – things will go well for us.
  2. Return to Him – You will be restored. Restored means back to the original state.
  3. Give up the lust of money – He will be our money! What else would you need?
  4. He will hear us when we pray – and we will fulfill what we promised Him that we would do.
  5. You will succeed in whatever you choose to do, and light will shine on the road ahead of you.
  6. Others will be rescued when you pray – because your hands are pure.

And So Shall It Be!!!

  1. Verse 28: If I trust that He is my Father and I have faith in His Word, when I decree something and trust and believe, it will be established unto me…and not only will it come to fruition, a light will shine upon what He has blessed me with. And so shall it be!

I love the word “faith” because faith will take us where fear never will!!! When we decree it, our faith is what moves God!!! That light shining upon what He has blessed me with, speaks volumes to me, because it makes my way so plain that a fool need not error!!! Thank you for your response!!! Pastor Blue

These verses mean to me that He said will hear me when I spend time with him and commit his words to my heart. He will light my path and show me my next steps.
